NWE Help: Web: Authoring: Tutorial: Starting ASWE
NWE Home :: Help :: Web :: Authoring :: Tutorial
To create a web page using the NWE, you probably want to use the HTML editor provided by the Networked Writing Environment. This program, the asWe HTML editor, is a relatively simple code-based editor that provides help with tags and other HTML conventions.
To begin creating your web page, save the Ally Gator Web Page Authoring Tutorial as a bookmark. This will allow you to access the Tutorial on multiple occasions. Here's how bookmarking works:
Click on "Bookmarks" found next to the "Location" box.
When the pull-down menu appears, select "Add Bookmark".
Ally Gator's Web Page Authoring Tutorial will now appear at the bottom of your bookmark list.
Now for the fun part! It is time to start the asWe HTML editor.
-
Start the asWe HTML editor by clicking on the NWE menu and selecting "HTML editor."
The first time you use asWe, you will have to accept the license agreement. Do so now. The asWe screen will then appear.
