Editing the <BODY> tag with asWe makes it very easy to pick a set of colors for your HTML document.
Click on the <BODY> tag and select "Edit Tag" from the "Edit" menu. You'll see the following window pop up:
Note: The dialog box you see may look slightly different, but all the choices above should be present.
HTML allows you to define a background pattern and five document colors. To learn what they do, read our HTML color page.
asWe lets you pick the colors you'd like to use from a palette of available colors. Click on the palette to the right of "Background color." The following window will come up:
You can pick any color swatch from those visable in the top part of this window, or change the red, green, and blue values with the sliders in the bottom part of the window. The color you're choosing will be shown in the center of the window under the "Custom color" notation. In the very bottom of the window you'll see the HTML color values.
When you're done picking a color press the "OK" button to return to the <BODY> tag editor. You can edit the other colors here or press "OK" to return to the main asWe window.
To use an image as a background, click on the magnifying glass to the right of the "Background's URL" box on the top of the <BODY> tag editor. Find the image you'd like to use, click on it, and press OK. You'll see the image name appear as the "Background's URL" selection.
Always preview your colors in Mozilla to make sure you like the results you've chosen. If the text is hard to read, consider a different set of values.
