Exploring and moving
In many rooms in MOOville, you can move your player to another room by
typing the name of a direction. So, for example, if you type
northyou will move the north if there is a room to the north. In many cases, the description of the room you are in contains instructions for directions you can go. If it does not, just type:
@exitsto see a list of available exits. Type the name of the exit to go in that direction. That list will look like this (you'll see more information if it's a room you own):
Obvious exits: north and south. If you ever get stuck, and can't find any exits or ways to get out of a location, type
homeand you'll be returned to your MOO home. (More on that later).
Moving to a specific place
Fortunately, the MOO has some verbs that allow you to walk from place
to place without knowing the path you need to take. The two verbs are
walk to and join. The walk to verb allows
you to walk to a specific room. For instance, you could type
walk to annexand your MOO character would navigate to the entrance to the Rolfs annex. The other verb is join, which allows you to join a person, rather than walk to a specific room. For instance, if you were to use the @who command and see that MrFurious is logged in, and you had a question for him, you could type
join MrFuriousand your character would walk through MOOville to join him.
