NWE Help: MOO: MOO Clients
NWE Home :: Help :: MOO :: Clients
A MOO client is a program which allows you to access the MOO directly. Many provide an enhanced interface to the MOO, making object creation, editing, etc. more convenient.
The tkMOO-light client used in the NWE is available for Windows, MacOS, and most flavors of Unix. The standalone install for Windows is simple. The install for MacOS can be a pain, so if you're using MacOS, you may wish to try Savitar instead.
- tkMOO-light:: The cross-platform MOO client used in the NWE.
- TinyFugue:: TinyFugue, which you can use from a shell
- Pueblo:: A MOO client for Windows, no longer being developed.
- Savitar:: HeyNow's MOO client for the MacOS.
- Mudwalker: Since Savitar is no longer free, we now recommend Mudwalker, an in-development open-source MUD client for Mac OS X (OSX).
- Web interfaces:: Connect to MOOville with Java-based web clients
MOOville is located at moo.nwe.ufl.edu port 9898.
Windows users can try Pueblo (which you can download from here according to this licence).
