The Gimp has many helpful documents in its online help that explain how to use the program much more eloquently than we ever could. To find the online help for the gimp, simply click on the Gimp palette and choose "Help" from the menu bar. Then select "Help...."

After a few moments, a new Mozilla window will pop up with a hypertextual help manual explaining all of the Gimp's nifty functions.
