The English Graduate Organization has an email list that we use to converse about EGO business, discuss our yearly conference, and so forth. Anyone interested in the goings-on of EGO should subscribe to the list or refer to the list archive (on-campus or proxy only).

Directions to Subscribe

  1. From the email address you want to subscribe to the EGO list, send an email to the following address: majordomo@clas.ufl.edu

  2. In the body of the email type the following: subscribe ego-l
    The last character of "ego-l" is the lower case letter L, not the number 1.

  3. Within seconds, you should receive a confirmation email indicating if you successfully subscribed.
    Note: If you are subscribing from a non-university email address such as hotmail or yahoo, then you might receive an email asking you if you *really* want to join the list. Follow the instructions that this email provides. This email is a safety measure to make sure you are not getting spammed unintentionally.

Directions to Send an Email Directly to the EGO list

To send an email to the EGO mailing list, use the following address:

ego-l@clas.ufl.edu
Again, the last character of that address is a lowercase letter "L."

Searching the Archives Off Campus (Proxy Server)

If you are not on campus you will need to use the web proxy at the University Libraries to see the archive, which requires your Gatorlink ID and password. Once connected to the proxy server you may view the list archives at http://www.clas.ufl.edu/archives/ego-l.
