Planning to attend CW2K Online, but haven't ever used a MOO before? Several experienced MOOers have volunteered time between March 6 and March 15 to help you!
Here's all you need to do:
- Register for CW2K Online. Within about 24 hours of submitting your registration, if you do not already have a Connections character, you'll receive one by email.
- Use the instructions on the Connections home page to get connected to Connections, and try out Connections's getting started tutorial to see what questions you're going to want to as the MOO helper.
- Go to Connections at one of the times listed below, and enter the join command given. You'll join the MOO help person, who can chat with you and answer your questions.
These aren't formal sessions--if a person is listed as being there from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m., you can show up any time during that hour. You might be the only person there besides the helper, or you might meet a few other people.
You may take advantage of as many of these times as you need to. The conference events will be interactive, and most attendees will want to participate rather than just listen. So come on in for some pre-conference practice so that you're comfortable in the MOO when the conference starts!
