I am also undecided if the house is alive or not. Thinking about it logically, it is easiest to say that these people are making all of this up in their minds, and there is some psychological factor there that is affecting all the people and causing all this chaos. But if that were true, I find it hard to believe that every single person that enters the hall way has the same ability in their mind to make it change and alter its appearance.

What I am saying is that I think the hallway does exist and that it does change. I dont know if its alive or not. I think the monster that they keep thinking they see might be made up in their minds, just because they have been in there so long.

I do think that other people who lived there before did know about the hall, because no one ever lived in this house very long. I think it is weird, though, that Navidson is the first person to explore it and make it public. You would think the people that were there before him would have already done that. I also think it weird that Navidson never tried to contact the people who lived there before... I think that is who I would go to the very first time I discoverd the mysterious hallway.
