I agree, Gabriel, that LOTR will probably have a similar reaction, but I think that the novel's sense of balance will carry into the movie. I mean, I'm hoping that P. Jackson can do a decent enough job with an already successful story as opposed to the Wachowski's going out on their own, essentially. That and there are a lot of new characters and beings that will become important.
We'll just have to wait and see.
